The Geelong Futsal Club is excited to announce the launch of our inaugural 2023/2024 Futsal Academy Program in Geelong.
Program
The Academy program is designed to build on individual players fundamental motor skills, technical skills and game sense to support player development and improve sport specific skills.
Pathways
The summer program is term based and forms an integral part of our development pathway, with players participating being eligible for selection for State and National level tournaments in late 2023 and early 2024
Coaching Staff
Our Geelong program will be led by Coaching Director Dermott Tebb. Dermott holds an Asian Futsal Confederation (AFC) Level 1 Coaching Qualification and over the past 12 months has coached squads to State and National Level success including:
- 2023 Football Australia – Futsal National Championships – Victoria Under 13 Girls - National Champions

2023 Football Victoria - Futsal State Championships - Under 11 Girls – State Runner Up

2023 Football Victoria - Futsal State Championships – Under 12 Boys – State Runner Up
Dermott will be supported by Andrew Burgess (FV State Futsal Coach), Foddy Kyprian (FV State Coach), Lelo Sejan (GFC Club Coach) and Marcus Trupkovic (NPL Player).

- 8’s, 9’s & 10’s sessions run for 45 minutes
- 11’s – 18’s sessions run for 60 minutes

The GFC Academy Program 23/24 will provide a tailored program that promotes skill development and futsal specific game sense training in a fun, inclusive and supportive environment.
